FAQ
Questions, answered plainly.
The short version, in family-and-clinician-friendly language.
- Who is WobbleTalk for?
- Autistic kids and kids with speech delays, plus the families, technicians (Techs), and therapists (SLPs and BCBAs) who support them. Families can use it on their own, or alongside a clinical team.
- Is this a medical device or clinical app?
- WobbleTalk is a communication and practice platform. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional speech-language therapy or behavior analytic care. Clinicians use it as a tool inside their existing practice.
- How do you handle privacy and consent?
- We use granular, parent-controlled consent toggles for voice recordings, AI features, therapist sharing, and progress tracking. Every consent event is versioned, hashed, and logged to an append-only audit trail. See our Privacy and Security pages for the full detail.
- Can my therapist use this with our family?
- Yes — therapists and Techs have their own workspace with caseload, supervision, and reporting tools. Once you invite them, they can see only what your consent toggles allow.
- Does this replace in-person therapy?
- No. WobbleTalk supports communication and home practice between sessions and gives clinical teams better tools, but it doesn't replace evaluation, diagnosis, or hands-on therapy from a licensed provider.
- What devices does it work on?
- Any modern phone, tablet, or computer with a browser. WobbleTalk also installs as a Progressive Web App so it works offline once installed.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Paid plans are month-to-month and you can cancel from your account at any time. The free Starter plan stays free.
- Where do I start?
- Create a free Starter account, sign the parental consent, and open the board. From there you can add exercises, calm games, and invite a therapist if you have one.
